After reading Ready Player One and watching the E.T. documentary on Netflix, I began thinking that maybe it was time to get back to my gaming roots. At the same time, my kids have been begging Amy and I to let them do a Let’s Play video. So why not combine the two together? The video below is the result.
I kind of picked River Raid out from a random pile of Atari 8-bit games. I really wanted to do M.U.L.E. first, but, after playing it for an hour, I realized it’s probably a bit too complex to do with the kids. At least for now.
I had fun making it, and Kella’s expressions are priceless. The quality, I know, does leave a bit to be desired, especially from the audio.
Depending on the children’s disposition, I’ll probably be making more of these retro games Let’s Play in the future. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
